Bio

Arpita situates her research at the intersection of visual culture and cartography. Specifically, she is interested in studying anthropomorphic illustrations of India's geo-body through the years. By focusing on both human and non-human "bodyscapes", she hopes to better understand the intimacies between the body and the nation.
