K Anderson (she/they) is a writer-artist, porn archivist, and doctoral candidate in the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program at Rutgers University. Broadly, K's research interests include: 20th and 21st century sexual economies and geographies, history of medicine and technology, film and media production, black transfeminist theory, and pornography. Her scholarly and artistic work currently examines the convergence of transgender medicine, the AIDS Epidemic, the formal emergence of the trans pornographic genre and the rhetorics and narratives produced about blackness, assigned sex, and transness therein.
For the 2025-26 academic year, Anderson is a Trans Studies at The Commons Fellow. Most recently, her co-authored publication "Blackness, pleasure, and agency in Porn Studies: A Roundtable Discussion" was published in Porn Studies. Her collaborative, experimental pornographic film, Southern Confessions Vol. 1, was featured in Gallery 400.
