Julie Salthouse is the Council Director for Girls on the Run of Hunterdon, Bucks & Warren Counties.  As Council Director, she oversees all council operations, with the goal of providing the best possible experience to the program's girls, their families, and coaches. Julie has 10 years of experience working with girls in various capacities, including within secondary school classrooms, nontraditional educational settings, and nonprofit programs focused on women's and girls' leadership and human rights on local, national, and international scales. Previously she served as the Chapter Director for Girls Learn International, and the Program Coordinator of the 16 Days Campaign at the Center for Women's Global Leadership.  She is a certified English teacher, and holds an MA in Women's and Gender Studies and an EdM in Counseling Psychology, both from Rutgers University. In addition to overseeing Girls on the Run, Julie also brings her passion for social justice to The College of New Jersey, where she teaches in the Women's and Gender Studies Department. Julie loves reading, travel, documentary film, and jogging, and lives in northern NJ with her husband, Matt, and two beagles, Simon and Savannah.

Lana received a B.A. in History and Art History from Rutgers. After completing her MA, she worked with In the Life Media, Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, and NJ LEEP, Inc. at Seton Hall Law School.

Zara holds a B.A. in women's and gender studies, photography, and English from Wesleyan University and an M.A. in International relations and Affairs from Columbia University. She has worked as a consultant and researcher on numerous human and women's rights-related projects, including the Man Up Campaign and various projects under the auspices of Plan International.

Jessica holds a B.A. in English at St. Joseph’s University. After completing her MA at Rutgers, she worked as a domestic violence project coordinator and outreach worker at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, as a domestic violence counselor at Women in Transition and as a Victim Advocate for the Victim Services Center of Montgomery County, Pa. Since 2010, Mertz has served as the Associate Director of the Penn Women’s Center and chaired the University-wide Penn Violence Prevention Committee. She serves on campus Title IX and sexual harassment working groups and also on Philadelphia’s Sexual Assault Advisory Council. She began her current position at Penn in 2014.

Nathalie Margi is deeply committed to supporting grassroots human rights defenders and ensuring that global priorities are defined and driven by their experiences. She has engaged in international policy advocacy for women's rights in NY with the Center for Women's Leadership, the Women's Environment and Development Organization, the International Women's Health Coalition, and the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders. With Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights, she managed projects on LGBTI rights and women's leadership in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and launched programs in Lebanon to prevent and respond to gender-based violence in the context of the Syrian crisis. She also worked with the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, taught an intensive college course on the UN, and helped organize workshops in the DRC to help implement UN Security Council Resoultions on Women, Peace, and Security at the local level. Nathalie earned an LL.M. in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the University of Essex in addition to an M.A. from Rutgers.

Katarina received an M.Phil in Political Sciences from University of Belgrade, and she is currently an Assistant Researcher at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade. She is Chair of the Belgrade Women’s Studies Board and co-edits the Journal for Feminist Theory. Her research interests include political philosophy, history of political ideas, contemporary political theories, feminist epistemology, feminist philosophy and political theory.

Alexandria holds a B.A. from SUNY Buffalo in Sociology and Spanish. While at Rutgers, she held various research assistant positions. After graduation, she was a volunteer with Sar-El in Israel.
