Puente, Carolina Núñez

Carolina undertook the M.A. degree at Rutgers while in the midst of a Ph.D. program in Spain. Upon completion of the M.A., she returned to Spain to complete her doctorate, and then held a postdoc position in the English Deparment at the University of La Coruña, Spain. She was also a fellow at the John F. Kennedy Institut für Nordamerikastudien at Freie Universität (Berlin), and was a postdoc professor and fellow in the Bakhtin Centre at the Univseristy of Sheffield, where she taught her first graduate seminars on Feminism and Gender Studies.

Jessica Valenti is a blogger, feminist writer, and founder of Feministing.com. She is the author or co-author of four books on women's issues, including Full Frontal Feminism (2007), He's a Stud, She's a Slut (2008), The Purity Myth (2009), and Why Have Kids? (2012). Her work appears in Ms., The Nation, The Washington Post, Alternet, and The Guardian. In 2011, The Guardian named her one of their "top 100 women" for her work to bring the feminsit movement online.
