Shana Fried graduated from the M.A. program in January of 2001. Her master's thesis, “Feminists Publishing Feminist Poetry," was a critical survey on 20th century feminist activism through independent publishing by feminist presses. Upon graduation, Shana worked at the United Nations as director of a fundraising office in the Department of Protocol and Diplomatic Affairs. While working at the U.N., she returned to Rutgers in 2002 as a part-time evening lecturer in the undergraduate course, Women, Culture and Society. From 2002-03, Shana volunteered as the women's program director for the Latin American Workers Project (El Proyecto) in Brooklyn, where she coordinated language and immigrants rights programs for women day laborers. In 2006, Shana completed a Juris Doctorate degree at Rutgers Newark Law School, and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Health and Life Sciences Compliance Officer at Oracle.

Karen has worked in academia and community and governmental organizations as an adjunct professor, clinician, researcher, and administrator to promote action on poverty, violence, animal and human rights, and for progressive social change. She has extensive experience in research, strategic planning, program development and evaluation, teaching, and fund development. Karen currently serves as the director of sexual assault services for New Mexico. She is the author of Art, Violence, & Social Change: Challenging Violence Against Women and Girls Through Entertainment Education (2008).

Mohini Mukherjee first came to Rutgers as an international student in 1999 to pursue her graduate education after the completing her undergraduate major in English from India. She earned two Master's degrees from Rutgers -- Women's Studies and Human Resource Management. Mohini has worked in various capacities within Residence Life and student services offices at Rutgers before joining the Centers for Global Advancement and International Affairs as an International Student Adviser in August 2006. In her current role as Associate Director for Student Services, she executes the Center’s regulatory compliance responsibilities as they pertain to international students and oversee the coordination of the Center’s student services and programs, including our cornerstone International Student Orientation program.

Radjenovic, Sara

Sara Radjenovic completed a development internship at the Women's Sports Foundation in East Meadow, NY, after receiving her Master's in 2001. From there she made the move to the District of Columbia where she worked in fundraising and event planning for several women's organizations, including NARAL Pro-Choice America and the National Women's Law Center. Sara also worked as an events consultant for the Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund. After leaving DC, she worked briefly for a workers' rights/compliance organization called Verite in Amherst, MA, and was the interim executive director for the Washington County Literacy Council in southwestern Pennsylvania. She received a Master's in public policy (with a self-designed concentration in international feminist organizations and minors in population studies and human rights) at the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota.
