Kate Slider graduated from Juniata College with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary explorations of gender. Her individualized plan of study has allowed her to explore a range of perspectives on gender from fields such as sociology, peace and conflict studies, and psychology. While at Juniata, Kate became an active member of the college community through various leadership positions and by advocating for social justice on campus. During her undergraduate career, Kate spent a semester in Cheltenham, England which provided her with a valuable international perspective on women. Within the field of women’s and gender studies, Kate is particularly interested in issues relating to gender identity and expression, gender-based discrimination, and violence against women.
