Neha Kagal has a Masters degree in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai with a specialization In Public Health and Therapeutic Counselling. She has worked previously with HIV positive women facing violence, and women in prostitution in Mumbai. For the last three years Neha has been working as an Activist with a Trade Union of Ragpickers in Pune, India. Her work involves rights based advocacy with a focus on health and livelihoods. She is interested in issues related to women, violence and development in the Global South. She also enjoys exploring issues around sexuality, intimacy, caste and class.
