Gender & Media Minor - Spring 2015

    School of Communication and Information and Department of Women’s and Gender Studies present a BRAND NEW cross-unit interdisciplinary course of study for students interested in both gender and media:

    The Minor in Gender and Media

    • Enroll in 18 credits in courses from Women’s and Gender Studies and the School of Communication and Information
    • Take courses in critical media/feminist theory and media production
    • Analyze gendered power dynamics in the media
    • Examine, create, and improve current conditions in the media
    • Acquire hands-on, technical skills as a media producer
    • Produce a multi-media capstone project
    • Explore exciting internship opportunities

     

    The Minor in Gender and Media can be declared as of Spring 2015.
