Summer Session I

Drawing on the work of contemporary artists of color such as Kehinde WileyAdrian Piper, and Wangechi Mutu, we’ll talk about the visual politics of race and gender in relation to things like hair, skin color, masculinity, hip hop, technology, and sexuality. Requirements for the course include readings and twice weekly postings via eCollege, along with a short final paper. The course satisfies the elective requirement for any WGS major or minor.
