Biographical Notes

Before joining Rutgers University in 2017, Dr. Elizabeth Gunn was a tenured associate professor at Morgan State University (MSU). She is the author of numerous peer reviewed articles centered on the nexus of sexuality, gender, and nation building. In 2016, she was awarded MSU’s highest faculty honor, the Sandye McIntrye II Award, for international development: she created international partnerships, established programs for international students, pioneered study abroad opportunities, and established a global scholarship for minority students. At Douglass, Dr. Gunn serves as Associate Dean. Her portfolio includes Academic Programs, the BOLD Center for Leadership and Career Development, and the historic Douglass Project for Women in STEM. She is an avid runner and creative writer.
