01:988:425 Internship in Women’s and Gender Studies

Course Description

In this course students will draw from their internship experiences to explore the meaning of context, agency, and complicity in gendered activism from multiple perspectives, including those from women based in the Global North and South and those from movements from the local through the international levels.  The course format (which includes theoretical- and activist-based texts; guest speakers; and documentaries) will help students to ground their specific internship experiences in the larger scope of academia and activism over the last decade.
