Undergraduate and graduate students experience a great many stresses in their lives - sorting out one's identity, establishing and maintaining important relationships, coping with anxiety and depression, working on changing relationships with parents and other family members, dealing with losses, handling new academic demands, and dealing with reactions to one's differentness. To help with these tasks, Counseling, ADAP & Psychiatric Services provides a variety of psychological counseling services for all students of Rutgers University in New Brunswick/Piscataway, undergraduate and graduate. Services are free, and confidentiality is guaranteed within legal and ethical guidelines.

The Center for Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities (SJE) website
Formerly the Office of Diverse Community Affairs and Lesbian-Gay Concerns, promotes engagements with and understanding of the complex issues of power, privilege, and prejudice, as well as understanding what must be done to change the ways in which structures operate to exclude and oppress individuals and groups. The SJE will create opportunities for stuents to make connections between their personal leadership development and issues, including but not limited to race, gender, sexuality, and class. SJE will continue to provide programs, training, and services for LGBT students, allies, and Liaisons for LGBTQ students. The mission and vision of the Office of Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities involves working for social change in concert with members of historically disenfranchised groups and allies. The mission and vision of the office will be accomplished through various co-curricular educational activities, such as workshops, internships, community service and collaborative programs with academic departments, offices and/or student organizations.
Tyler Clementi Center for Diversity Education and Bias Prevention
The Tyler Clementi Foundation (TCF), guided by the life and story of Tyler Clementi, promotes safe, inclusive and respectful social environments in homes, schools, campuses, churches and the digital world for vulnerable youth, LGBT youth and their allies.
Through educational partnerships, research, public dialogues and awareness programs, TCF fosters empathetic, constructive discussions of respect and dignity for youth and families, at all levels of society.
