Description: This course will serve asn an introduction to the theory and practice of social justice. It is designed to challenge our understanding of "privilege" and "oppression" and provoke new ways of thinking about inequity and social change. Each course participant will develop a critical consciousness in regards to injustice and will begin to exercise their new learnings by becoming change agents on campus and within wider community.

Description: Introduces students to diverse practices of social justiceactivism including grassroots organizing, labor organizing, political organizing, and transnational organizing. Readings about social change efforts are combined with student participation in community mobilizations, labor organizing efforts, political campaigns, and transnational social movement and NGO activism.
