B.A., Sociology, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, 2009
M.A., Women's and Gender Studies, University of Utrecht (The Netherlands) and University of Hull (United Kingdom), 2012
Paloma completed a B.A. in Sociology (2004-2009) in her native Spain. Due to a profound belief in the positive experience provided by studying and working in international environments, she has always looked for opportunities abroad. After studying the last year of her B.A. in Rouen (France), she completed a M.A. in Women's and Gender Studies in July 2012 in the universities of Utrecht (Netherlands) and Hull (UK), which confirmed her commitment to the field of Gender Studies. One of her other passions has always been the education work. That interest led her to teach Spanish to foreign students and to work with 6-12 years old kids as a volunteer for the Spanish Red Cross over the past year. Her research interests are mainly related to the topic of masculinities, specifically as a way to explore the gender implications of the current context of economic, social and political crisis in her home country, Spain.
