B.A., Women's Studies and International Relations, Smith College, 2006
Rural queer studies, anarchism, prisons, feminist and critical pedagogies.
Stina is currently currently working on a dissertation project about queer landownership, community building, and life in the fault lines of capitalism, which takes her to Tennessee and occasionally Oregon. Somewhat related to this project, she is also exploring the relationship between theory and food-making, especially fermentation. Teaching is a central component of Stina's work as a scholar, and she is the recipient of the Linda Rothman Award for Teaching Excellence by a Graduate Student. She is an organizer for educational justice for incarcerated women, and works on a prison-to-college initiative on Rikers Island.
