Gender and Sexuality; Modernist Literature; Twentieth Century and Contemporary Literature.

Biographical Notes

Professor DeKoven has published three books and numerous journal articles and book chapters on a range of topics, including modernism, postmodernism, gender, feminist theory, and twentieth-century fiction. She is currently working on a book project on gender, ethics, and animals in modern and postmodern fiction. Professor DeKoven is the recipient of a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, was the Principal Investigator for a Rockefeller Residency Fellowship at the Institute for Research on Women at Rutgers, and is the recipient of the Warren I. Susman Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Award for Excellence in Research.
